John is the principal founder of Ewe Graze, LLC. He is a native of the Shenandoah Valley and grew up in Buena Vista, VA raising cattle and helping his father run their local general store. John is the principal founder of Ewe Graze, LLC. He is a native of the Shenandoah Valley and grew up in Buena Vista, VA raising cattle and helping his father run their local general store. He is a graduate of VMI and a veteran of the U.S Air Force. While stationed in Wyoming he started his journey raising, training and competing in dog trials with his Border Collies. He continues to train and compete across North America. He has a passion for land conservation and sustainable solar energy and farming. He enjoys spending time with his wife Sally and his son Jacob who is currently attending VMI.
Luke is an original founder of Ewe Graze, LLC. He is a fellow graduate of VMI. Luke grew up in Altavista, VA working with his grandfather in the family swimming pool business. Today uses his passion for problem solving to help tackle tasks large and small. He enjoys spending time with his wife and children.
Dr. Mike Neary – retired from Purdue University after teaching applied animal management and sheep management for 35 years. Dr. Neary actively consults on management plans for sheep on solar sites. Dr. Neary is one of the top sheep dog handlers in the country and enjoys traveling the country competing with his border collies.
Kate is the CHO (Chief Herding Officer) and our PR Ambassador. She loves moving sheep all around solar sites and competing in dog trials all over the country. She is currently ranked in the top 25 in the country. When she isn’t herding sheep at trials or on the solar site, she loves meeting new people and making friends.
Hailing from Wales, Roy is the newest addition to our Solar site team. He is a very accomplished competitor internationally. In Roy’s short time here, he has shown his talent and proved himself invaluable around the farm and on the solar site.
She is our CHO’s (Kate) daughter and comes by her sheep herding talent honestly and is poised to learn from her mom how to be a future CHO and a multifaceted Border Collie. She looks forward to gaining more experience on the solar site.
